Development of Self-shielded Flux Cored Wire and Its Application in Welding of High Strength Pipe Wire Steel

Abstract: Choosing the right welding process and welding materials is critical to the success of a project. Smart choices are often based on a clear understanding of the key characteristics and benefits of each option. This paper reviews the main features of the self-shielded flux-cored welding process in terms of productivity and performance. The 47-year history of the process is reviewed in terms of design and development, and the development of the process in the process and Welding Consumables is detailed.
